TAKING A CLARITY BREAK™

The 2021 EOS® Conference is fast approaching. When we convene in just a few short weeks, will you be ready to focus and live within the EOS mindset? If you need some help getting there, we’ve got you covered.

Getting focused is all about clarity. Let go of what stress you can and focus on the task at hand to make room for powerful conversations and impactful learning. It’s easier said than done though, right? Let us help!

Follow these tips to induce clarity ahead of the conference.

  • Take a clarity break

    • Get out your best ideas while taking a moment away from technology. First, set up a regularly scheduled time to meet with yourself (weekly, monthly, etc.). Next, select a meeting place that takes you outside your regular space (could be a nearby coffee shop or park). While you meet with yourself, get rid of distractions and simply sit with a blank notepad and pencil. Important things will surface and new ideas will pop up when you’re allowed to simply, and freely, think. Learn more here

  • Be well rested

    • Stress keeps you awake and can make it harder for your mind and body to rejuvenate overnight. Make your bedroom a comfortable zone free of screens and distractions and create a consistent routine that helps your body know when it’s time to rest.

  • Review your V/TO

    • Take time to reflect on your Core Values and your 1 year, 3 year, and 10 year goals. Enter the conference with fresh vision and expectations of what you want to get out of it.

  • Get organized

    • Don’t wait until after the conference to get on track! Use your EOS tools to manage your time and energy so you arrive ready to learn and get to the next level.

  • Keep the circles connected

    • What do you and your team hope to get out of the conference? Consider a same page meeting with a key member of your leadership team and attend the conference with alignment.

Take a deep breath. Didn’t that feel good? Take this feeling and use it to shift into the EOS mindset. We can’t wait to connect with your best self!

SUBJECT: Delegate to elevate

DELEGATE AND ELEVATE

As you prepare for the 2021 EOS® Conference in two weeks, are you making space to delegate and in turn, elevate your work?

Delegation is difficult for most people, but successfully doing so is a key component of impactful leadership. Once you delegate out tasks that are better suited to your team, you are left with more time to elevate your remaining tasks. It’s a win-win, as it keeps your team busy but allows you to hold on to high level assignments.

Use the following tips to get started delegating and elevating your life.

  • Let go....

    • This is likely your biggest challenge. You’re so dedicated to your work that you feel like the most realistic avenue for success is for you to do it yourself. However, you make the whole team better when you trust and spread the wealth. Get to really know your team and their skill sets to feel more comfortable when delegating.

  • .... But keep some level of control

    • Keeping an eye on the project will give you the chance to make sure things are being done correctly and provide you with a little peace of mind. On the flip side, your team will feel supported and have a clear directive for questions. Keep in mind that there’s a fine line between monitoring and micromanaging, and it’s important that your team member continues to have ownership and empowerment over their work.

  • Create easy to follow systems

    • A clear cut process is critical in maintaining structure and ensuring easily replicated results. Before delegating, take some time to gather sample materials (such as timelines or client notes) that have helped you be successful on similar projects. Also, seriously consider a project management system if you can.

Not only will practicing delegation improve your day-to-day life, but it will also open up space to dive in deep during the conference and fully absorb content.
